Smart Shield Systems
PowerG 2-Way Wireless Vanishing Door/Window Contact
The DSC PowerG PGx303 (models PG9303 / PG8303 / PG4303) is a thin, “vanishing” surface-mount magnetic contact for doors and windows. It uses PowerG two-way, AES-128 encrypted wireless with link-quality LEDs for fast placement, features a pull-tab for instant enrollment, and delivers up to ~6 years of battery life in typical use. Available in white or brown to blend with trim.

Why Choose This with Smart Shield Systems
Clean, discreet installs: we align the magnet to the marked reed side so the sensor nearly disappears after install. Adhesive or screw-mount options, per code.
Signal verified on-site: we use the contact’s LED placement test (STRONG/GOOD/POOR) and the panel diagnostics to lock in reliable PowerG range.
Proper enrollment & labeling: we scan/auto-enroll via the pull-tab/QR, set supervision and chime behavior, and document zone names for your system.

Casements & windows with tight trim: slim magnet/sensor fits where bulkier contacts won’t.
Frequently Asked Questions
How far apart can the magnet and sensor be?
Gap depends on mounting surface and orientation. The manual lists different open/close distances for wood vs. metal (iron) in X/Y/Z orientations—install with the magnet on the marked reed side and keep gaps tight, especially on metal frames. We measure and test during install.
Can I use tape instead of screws?
Yes—for quick installs the manual shows double-sided adhesive; however, UL installations must be mechanically secured with screws. We choose the method that meets code for your project.
How do you check wireless strength?
After enrollment, we open/close the protected opening; the LED blinks to indicate STRONG / GOOD / POOR reception. We also run the panel’s diagnostics and only accept strong placements (UL: STRONG).
What battery does it use and how long will it last?
A CR2450 3 V coin cell. The datasheet rates ~6 years typical (environment and activity affect life). Low-battery is reported to the panel.
Is the PG9303 the only listed version?
Yes—only PG9303 in the 912–919 MHz band is UL/ULC listed; the PG8303/PG4303 are for other regions/standards.
Want discreet, reliable perimeter protection?
Smart Shield Systems will mount, enroll, and test your PGx303 contacts, verify signal strength, and label zones—so doors and windows are protected without the hardware stealing the spotlight.
